Alfred Basic Adult Piano Course Lesson Book Bk 3 Willard A Palmer Morton Manus Amanda Vick Lethco 0038081001012 Books Reviews

  • Great piano book for beginners. 'm almost 70 years old and taking up the piano. This is a great book to work with. Also have bought other Alfred's Basic Piano books and I have never read music before but now am reading notes and playing tunes. Started in February. I do have a piano instructor that I meet with 30 minutes once a week and this helps.
  • I hadn't had my hands on a keyboard in more than 55 years. I am finding this book very helpful in getting me back in the swing of playing my keyboard. Unfortunately I only have a 61 key keyboard. I am looking at the possibility of upgrading to 88 keys.
  • I like this piano course a lot. My only complaint is that, while level 1 comes with a ring binder so it's easy to use, levels 2 and 3 are the kind that don't want to stay open. I've solved the problem with clips like you use to close your bag of Doritos if you have the self restraint to not finish it in one setting. But I want to emphasize Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course is an easy and fun way to learn to play. In fact, I'm going to change my 4 star to a 5 star rating because my problem with the binding is too nit-picky compared to the benefits of learning to play at my advanced age of 68.
  • This is really not the best version available.

For not much more, I would get the All-in-One version (additional 2 bucks) or the All-in-One with CD (additional 4 bucks). Everything in this book, plus additional theory/technique, plus the plastic comb binding allows it to lie flat.
  • Very good for a self teaching course.
  • Part of a series. Good compliment to having a good teacher.
  • These selections challenge my students. They enjoy working on the songs that are most difficult. After they complete the music, my students have a sense of pride that they accomplished some very difficult music.
  • Used it a lot when I was practicing the piano more, and it was perfect for the skill level I'm at right now.
