- Great guy and a noble cause. Great book. May we always remember the men who paid the ultimate price to preserve the freedom we enjoy.
God bless you Ken!!! A must read!!!! - Man is a patriot and the book tell the story well.
\ - I bought this book for my mom as a gift and she loved it. She was a classmate of Ken's back in there hometown.
- An incredible book by an incredible artist, man and author. Mr. Ken "the Dauber" Pridgeon has immortalized the many Texans who have given their lives on the battlefield of freedom. His paintings are multi-dimensional, showing the soldier and his or her personality, along with each individual's personal story. Not only is the subject honored, but also his/her family, state and country. Eighty-two-year-old Ken Pridgeon is currently in the process of doing this for every soldier in the United States, with museums in each state to honor these courageous young warriors. At this time, there is a museum in Baytown, Texas (soon to be moved to a multi-million dollar facility in La Porte, Texas) with the paintings of all these heroes, too soon lost to unseen enemies -- often before they are old enough to buy alcohol or tobacco.
Not only do you get to see the awesome artwork and stories of people who deserve to have their names known, but, Ken has also included a "How-to" section teaching anyone who wants to learn how he or she can also draw portraits that will reach into the reader's heart and grab his heartstrings as he looks into the eyes of each young soldier, police officer or fire fighter. AWESOME!
