"An Agent for Darcy is another awesome Pinkerton Matchmaker Series Book by Laura Beers. I have read all of Laura's books and just love her style of writing. She writes about strong women and men who aren't afraid of strong women.
Darcy Spencer is a widow trying to come to terms with her husbsnd's betrayal. She's part owner of a large ranch and is receiving marriage proposals every day from the men in her community. She doesn't have a desire to marry again and decides to try to become a Pnkerton Agent.
Agent Porter Shaw is a great Pinkerton Agent who is matched up to train Darcy Spencer. The case they will be dealing with concerns a cattle ranch and missing cow hands . Porter grew up on a ranch so this new team are perfect for this case. But of course first there will be a wedding followed by how this couple learns to work together and opens up to each other.

- Porter and Darcy certainly had a extraordinary storyline. How Darcy dealt with her past and Porter gave her the comfort and safe feeling to grow into a stronger woman. The circumstances that you weaved with the storytelling was immensely intriguing and totally surprised me about the outcome. Really, really enjoyed this story and characters.
- THe first book I read in this series was also from this author, An Agent for Audrey. It was sooo good that I started reading the other books in the series. I’ve enjoyed all the authors and their stories, but I love how Laura writes and An Agent for Darcy did not disappoint! The story line was fun and believable, even though the relationship happened so fast. The perfect amount of romance and mystery to keep me wanting more.

- I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Darcy is a widow with strong opinions, is very intelligent and feels she would be a good Pinkerton Agent. The only problem, she has to marry her training agent to be able to go into the field. Resigned, she marries Porter and travels with him to work on a ranch where unexplained deaths are happening. Porter becomes a ranch hand, and Darcy housekeeper and cook for the ranch owner, as his wife was one of the possible victims. Darcy and Porter live in the foreman's cabin, as he was another victim and his cabin lies empty. Darcy and Porter butt heads, as he is worried she'll rush into a dangerous situation she's unprepared for. Darcy, angry at his restraint, decides she'll do what she wants, and ends up stumbling upon the answer, but puts herself and Porter in mortal danger. If you can apply this phrase to a book, this is a real page-turner!

I received an ARC copy of this book and this is my honest opinion. - This book has it all murder, mystery, adventure, bickering, fighting, and romance. It's really difficult to run a ranch when you don't know who you can trust. The Pinkerton Matchmaker series strikes again. I love this multi author series with such incredible characters and this one doesn't disappoint. Strong men and women shaping the west.
Darcy is an independent character who is jaded because of past disappointments. Her late husband was not what she had hoped and was determined never to marry again. She was part owner in a ranch, so she didn't have to. Things get tricky when she joins the Pinkerton detective agency and she agrees to the terms, just so she can get trained. She has to learn to move past her prejudices and her pride to work together with her partner, who happens to be good in the kitchen. This story was beautifully written. I could relate to the characters and couldn't put it down. I will definitely be reading this again.
